A presentation by Telescope Array Project member Greg Furlich, a PhD candidate at the University of Utah, was recently featured in the Millard County Chronicle Progress. The presentation touched on much of the research being conducted at the Telescope Array near the town of Delta in Southern Utah and focused specifically on the reasons that the location is ideal for cosmic ray research. The advantages of that particular spot come both from the dry desert air, which allows clearer observation of the sky, as well as from the low levels of light pollution associated with its distance from large cities.
